I’m Trying to Balance Work, Self Care and Adulting

This beige canvas tote bag is designed for everyday work, self care, and the reality of adulting.

We all have our days. In some, you are crushing it. Others leave you wondering what is adulting, really. Is it having everything figured out?  Or are we all just really committed to the bit?

This “self care” canvas tote bag is for all of us trying to make sense of that in-between. For the days when work life balance doesn’t look aspirational or aesthetic, but simply means getting through without falling apart. Made from durable beige canvas, this tote bag has plenty of room for your daily chaos. Laptop? Check. Emotional support snacks? Got it. Water bottle you fill up every time but never finish? Fits perfectly. The 28-inch straps sit comfortably on your shoulder while you figure out life as you go.

Here’s the thing: Smitha Murthy did not design this as one of those tote bag design ideas meant to impress at first glance. It was not created to be a perfect tote bag image for Instagram, either. Instead, it is created for each and every one of us, who have learned that adulting does not come with a manual. We are done pretending we have it all together. We have stopped apologising for being tired on a Wednesday. This tote from MyndStories is a gentle reminder: it is okay to be a work in progress. Everyone else is winging it, too.

And that on some days, just showing up is enough.
